User Instructions

  • Any classroom with a built in PC requires a Passport York account to log in.
  • Instructions for using equipment are listed in all rooms.
  • Personal laptops can be connected through VGA or HDMI (cable is provided).
  • User must bring their own adapter if the laptop (e.g. MacBook) does not have a VGA or HMDI connection.
  • Additional equipment and training sessions are available upon request via email at euccomp@yorku.ca.

To accommodate large meeting, EUC Technology Services maintains a small cache of Meeting Owl 3 audiovisual equipment for loan.
The Meeting Owl 3 is designed to enhance hybrid meetings by integrating a 360-degree camera, microphone, and speaker into one device. This technology aims to create a more immersive meeting environment by automatically focusing on the speaker, which fosters a natural interaction among participants. The device supports popular video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, making it versatile for different communication needs.

Lock box

  Contents:
  • Wireless keyboard
  • Wireless mouse (a USB connector is placed inside the mouse where the batteries are)
  • TV remote
  • HDMI Cable
  • USB Splitter (to connect multiple devices (i.e. keyboard and mouse) to the computer at the same time).
The code to open this lockbox is common with the code to unlock the Crestron system - followed by * symbol.
Please lock any items used back in the box at the end of every class.
Please alert EUC Computing (euccomp@yorku.ca) for more information or if items are missing or damaged.

Instruction to connect projector and laptop:

  • Enter room. Use entry code
  • Turn on power on screen with 4 digit Crestron codes
  • Open safe to retrieve HDMI cable
  • Please email euccomp@yorku.ca to receive all the codes above- faculty and staff only
  • Connect laptop to TV using HDMI cable. (Macs often need an adapter. Please bring your own)
  • Set TV to correct input (input 6).
  • Close up after the end of class, returning the HDMI cable to the safe.
