Postdoctoral Fellows

Postdoctoral researchers are early-career researchers who work under the general supervision of a faculty member, but who are also developing self-directed research programs of their own.

At York, postdoctoral fellows hold external awards, for example from one of Canada’s research councils. Postdoctoral visitors hold positions that are funded internally at the university, either through research grants or through a York postdoctoral program.

The Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change welcomes affiliations from both postdoctoral fellows and visitors. Further information on postdoctoral opportunities at York is available through the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
