Program: Sustainable Environmental Management

High school or other academic institutions attended: Silverthorne Collegiate Institute

Reason for choosing program: I have always been passionate about the environment. When I was younger I used to always study the species that were around me. The degree I am pursuing will achieve success in reducing emissions, providing sustainable solutions to how infrastructures are built and maintained, and to promote the harmonious relationship between all species consisting of human and non-human beings.

Intentions for the future: I hope to work for the government, towns, cities, non-governmental organizations, and possibly conservation parks for policy planning and implementation. Because I am so passionate about the environment, I want to incorporate myself into any to all stages of any planning process to ensure the most sustainable solutions are met.

Favourite part of the program: I enjoy all aspects of the program. It is hard to pick only one favourite part. Within the program, I enjoy how you can learn about sustainability solutions, governance, conservation, and even urbanization. I believe that this program offers the best holistic understanding of the environment.
