We operate in a collegial governance structure where all members of the EUC community are permitted and encouraged to be actively engaged in developing policies and management practices for our community. Faculty leadership is provided by the Dean’s office and program directors/coordinators. Participatory governance is exercised by the Faculty Council of EUC and its standing committees.
Community Accountability
We are committed to fostering a culture and a workplace where all are welcome, and all can thrive. As a newly established Faculty community at York University, we strive to foster a sense of belonging and common purpose based on a shared identity, narrative, and practice. We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusiveness, and accessibility.

Faculty Leadership
The Office of Dean offers academic, administrative and community leadership in our Faculty, within York University and with various external stakeholders. Individual undergraduate and graduate programs within the Faculty are led by directors or coordinators.
Faculty Council
Faculty Council is the governing body that establishes policy and regulations in all academic matters, both directly and through its standing committees. The Council comprises full-time faculty members, as well as representatives from EUC’s staff and students. Meetings of the Council and its committees are open to all members of the EUC community.
Reports & Planning Documents
EUC is a new unit at York University, resulting from five years of planning and implementation. The work of the Faculty and its vision for the future are available in the form of various reports, legislation and planning documents.
