Virtual High School Lecture: "Bad Reputation: Cormorants and Conservation" with Anderson CVI

November 17, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:15 pm

The Recruitment and Admissions team invite Anderson CVI to connect with us for our virtual high school lecture "Bad Reputation: Cormorants and Conservation" by Prof. Gail Fraser.

Since their rapid population recovery in the Great Lakes, double-crested cormorants have a bad reputation because they are a large black waterbird that eats fish and their nesting habits kill trees. Professor Gail Fraser (Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change) describes the role of cormorants in the Great Lakes ecosystems and how cormorant ecology relates to biodiversity conservation.

This is a closed event.
