Quick guide to using classroom display systems

Most classrooms have either a projector or a large display screen.

Some rooms also have a touch screen to control the Audio-Visual (AV) system. To get started, log in with York’s common four-digit code. If you’re not sure what it is, just email euccomp@yorku.ca and we’ll help you out.

You have two ways to show your materials: use the classroom computer (if available) or bring your own laptop.

If you’re using a laptop:
Check that it can connect with HDMI. Some laptops have the port built in, but many need an adapter. Don’t forget to bring the right adapter with you.

If you’re using the classroom computer:
Sign in with your Passport York ID and password. You can open your presentation files from OneDrive (log in at office.com) or from a USB key. If you’re running an event and need temporary access, we can provide a one-day generic account. Just email euccomp@yorku.ca ahead of time.
