
Description: This course introduces students to geographic field studies by bringing traditional classroom learning into the field through a combination of pre-departure seminars and an extended trip to a location away from the University. Specific topics and locations vary as per the course director(s) expertise. During the fieldtrip students learn about geographical issues through observation, participation, discussions, and lectures, while reflecting critically on fieldwork. Prerequisites: 86 credits completed, including Geog 1000 or 1410, or written permission of Course Director
