
Description:
Students will have the chance to set up their own plot in a communal garden and reflect on growing and harvesting food through the lenses of food security, bio diversity, community engagement and sustainability. Students will learn the theory and practice of urban gardening through a mixture of lectures, group projects and hands-on work in Maloca's garden on Keele Campus.
Prerequisite: Third-year or fourth- year standing or by permission of the instructor.
