Elena Hofferberth is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lausanne. In the SNIS-funded project “CliMacro: Alternative Macro-Financial Frameworks for Climate-Just and Post-Growth Futures” she explores the macro-financial and political economy conditions for a post-growth economy. She is also part of the ERC Synergy research-action project “REAL: A Post-Growth Deal”.
Elena holds a PhD in economics from the University of Leeds and seeks to contribute to the development of new economic thinking and practice. She engages with academic and non-academic audiences and is part of several groups and networks such as the Lausanne Ecological Economics Lab, the Post-Growth Economics Network, and the Scientific Working Group on Sustainable Money.
