Student Awards, Scholarships & Bursaries

Your hard work deserves to be supported. That’s why we offer multiple ways to finance your studies in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change. From entrance scholarships and awards for current students to on-campus employment within the Faculty, there are lots of opportunities to finance your studies at York.

For Our Undergraduate Students

We are here to help support you in your studies. In addition to the York University Entrance Scholarships, you can also apply to entrance awards exclusive to our programs.

You can apply to paid positions within the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change and with other units at York University.

The Work/Study Program at York University provides eligible undergraduate students (domestic and international) with the opportunity to develop professional skills and contribute to the university through paid, on-campus employment opportunities. These on-campus work experiences will enrich and complement your classroom experiences. In addition, you will be given the support and tools needed to develop proficiency in core competencies that will contribute to your long term personal and professional success and develop your capacity to lead.

For Our Graduate and Doctoral Students

All incoming master’s and doctoral students are offered a standard funding package that is meant to offset the cost of tuition. 

  • Master, Domestic: Approximately $11,000 per year
  • Master, International: Approximately $20,200 per year
  • Doctoral, Domestic: Approximately $23,800 per year
  • Doctoral, International: Approximately $35,600 per year

You may be eligible for an entrance scholarships based on your academic excellence or a Faculty nomination. Or, you can apply for financial needs-based awards within the Faculty.
