The Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change’s Specialist High Skills Major Awards (SHSM) were created to recognize a high school student's passion for sustainable change. Students that have completed a SHSM program in Environment, Energy, Transportation, Agriculture, Arts & Culture or Horticulture & Landscaping and are entering the Bachelor in Environmental Studies, or Geography program at York University for a Fall start are eligible for these awards.

Eligibility:
  • Consideration will be automatically given to all high school applicants who have identified on their OUAC application to the Bachelor in Environmental Studies or Geography at York University, their completion of one of the SHSM programs in Environment, Energy, Transportation, Agriculture, Arts & Culture or Horticulture & Landscaping and have achieved a minimum admission average of 75%.
Criteria
  • OUAC applications to the BES, BA or BSC Geography program that identify a specific SHSM program and have a minimum of 75% admission average.
  • Must be a registered full time EUC undergraduate student for the upcoming Fall term.
No Application Required: Other than the notification on the OUAC application as described above, no application is required.
